Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom recently revealed that they are expecting their first child together—and on Friday, Perry announced they’re having a baby girl.
The singer took to Instagram to share a photo of Bloom’s face covered in pink icing, alongside the caption, “it’s a girl.”
Perry and Bloom first shared the news of her pregnancy by showing off the singer’s baby bump in the music video for her song “Never Worn White.”
After the premiere, Perry confirmed that the baby would arrive in summer in an Instagram Live session: “I’m excited, we’re excited and we’re happy—and it’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep,” she said. “I knew I would tell you in the best way, which is through a piece of music because that’s how I speak to you. I had to reveal it at some point because it was getting pretty obvious.”
While Perry will be a first-time mom, this will be Orlando’s second child. He has a 9-year-old son named Flynn with ex Miranda Kerr. Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016 and split later that year. They rekindled their romance in early 2018 and became engaged in 2019.
