Cinnabon has decided to end its relationship with The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
The baked goods company has severed ties with the two shows following recent claims that reality star Taylor Frankie Paul was abusive towards her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
"Cinnabon has made the decision to terminate its collaboration with The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," a spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday (March 17). "Recent developments and allegations surrounding the lead cast member led us to reassess this collaboration as it no longer aligns with our brand values."
Paul has starred in Mormon Wives since its 2024 debut, and also stars in Season 22 of The Bachelorette, which is slated to premiere on March 22.
Earlier this week, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah told People that there is an open "domestic assault investigation" involving both Paul and Mortensen. The rep added that "allegations have been made in both directions" and "contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th."
According to an insider, Season 5 of Mormon Wives has been put on hold due to the probe, per Variety. The same insider said the pause is expected to be short-lived and that production will resume soon, with little disruption to Season 5. The same goes for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.
On March 9, Cinnabon revealed its new Swirled Soda, which was "inspired by the viral beverage trend popularized" by the Mormon Wives cast. The company also made cup sleeves with The Bachelorette and Mormon Wives branding.
Mortensen previously accused Paul of assault. In 2024, during Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Paul was arrested for allegedly hitting, choking, and tossing metal chairs at Mortensen. One of those chairs also purportedly hit one of her children.
She subsequently pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault, while the charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief were thrown out. Her arrest and probation led to a setback in filming.
