Bianca Censori has admitted that she leans into codependency when it comes to her relationships.
In a rare interview with Vanity Fair, the artist and provocateur opened up about her propensity to lead with emotion.
She explained that when she was a kid, her parents took away the landline so she wouldn’t regularly call her father at work to find out when he would be home. If his arrival time was even a minute past what he’’d said, she would call him. "You’re a liar!" she’d shout. "You’re not here! Why would you do that to me?"
Censori said she had an inability to "regulate" for her "whole life."
"I also pair-bond so intensely and so deeply that that person becomes part of me. That’s my person," she continued, nodding to the 2025 film, Together, starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco, who, throughout the course of the movie, fuse into one person.
Now, she’s imbued her marriage with that same emotion.
"I love him.... I love him so much," she said of her husband Kanye West, adding that codependency has "only ever brought joy to my life." She added: "I just love that person so deeply, so intensely, that I want to be around them."
Elsewhere in the interview, she discussed her fascination with nudity. Though misinterpreted by the public, her penchant for being barely clothed essentially became a performance piece on "control and sexuality."
"I had a quite obvious obsession with nudity," she said. "I was naked everywhere. I didn’t detach with it at any point. I consistently showed the same imagery over and over and over again. I live my artwork."
