Amy Slaton was reportedly arrested over the holiday weekend.
TMZ reports that the 1,000-Lb. Sisters star was taken into custody for alleged possession of illegal drugs and child endangerment—and the incident also involved a camel bite in Tennessee.
Slaton and a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn were apprehended at the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo on Monday after police responded to calls that a camel had bitten a visitor. As officers investigated, they found Slaton and Lovvorn in a vehicle, and it was emitting a strange smell.
The odor was due to narcotics, and the pair were arrested for illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, as well as two counts of child endangerment. The types of drugs they were allegedly using, the identities of the kids involved, and who was bitten by the camel—as well as the severity of the injury—are unknown at this time. According to the outlet, weed is illegal in Tennessee. Slaton and Lovvorn were taken to a local jail.
Slaton shares two sons, four-year-old Gage Deon and two-year-old Glen Allen with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman. Last year, he filed for divorce from the reality star after four years of marriage.
Slaton has appeared on TLC’s 1,000-Lb. Sisters since it first debuted in 2020, which follows her and her sibling, Tammy as they try to lose weight.
