One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor had a whirlwind evening at the 2026 Oscars wearing a stunning Chanel dress with some sentimental secrets.
Taylor, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress during the March 15 ceremony, wore a black Chanel gown that featured incredible details, including sheer mesh panels, black and white feathers, as well as a sweet nod to her daughters. Taylor shares two daughters — Iman “Junie” Shumpert, 10, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 5 — with ex Iman Shumpert.
Taylor’s dress featured a beautiful dedication to her kids, as their names were embroidered alongside a heart within the stitching of her gown. The white cursive stitching, spelling out “Junie” and “Rue” made it clear that the All’s Fair star’s daughters were on her mind during one of the most important nights of her life.
While Taylor’s children didn’t join her for the Oscars, they were a huge part of her acceptance speech during her recent Golden Globes win.
Taylor, who won for Best Supporting Actress with her performance as Perfidia Beverly Hills in One Battle After Another, was quick to call out her daughters during her speech.
Sharing that she was able to see her daughters quickly after her win, Taylor explained (via E! News) that “when they came down to the little lobby area [after the win], it was just so cute and I just melted into their arms.”
Taylor may not have won the Best Supporting Actress statue the 2026 Oscars, but One Battle After Another was a tremendous success at the ceremony. Taking home the biggest award of the night, Best Picture, One Battle After Another also saw filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson take home the prizes for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Taylor, along with the rest of the cast, had a ton to celebrate as awards season wrapped.
