Travis Kelce's ex girlfriend Kayla Nicole appears to have addressed the news of the NFL star's engagement to Taylor Swift in a cryptic post on Instagram.
Nicole reposted a video to her Instagram story only hours after Swift and Kelce's announcement. The video was shared from the @offthecuff account and features a clip of Tracee Ellis Ross talking about finding happiness.
Ross says, "I work at it, I think joy is different from happiness. I feel like happiness is something you can get at 7/11 and joy is something that you earn and work for and takes practice. I feel like joy has legs, I feel like joy has feet. I feel like joy has roots."
The actress continues, "I feel like joy creates space and allows room for more than just a good day. I think joy is an attitude. I think joy is a perspective, and I think joy is a lens through which I live and look at my life."
While Nicole never clearly indicates whether or not the post was in response to the engagement announcement, the timing is certainly interesting.
The on-air host seemingly touched on Kelce's new relationship with Swift back in May on her Pre-Game podcast when she said, "I think as women... the new girl might be popping...there’s no problem in admitting that.”
She added, “If you’re gonna lose, I want to lose to the best team now... Make me look good.”
Swift and Kelce's Instagram post sent off an internet frenzy, amassing more than 30 million likes and catapulting it to the top 20 list of most-liked Instagram posts of all time.
Swifties were sure to get in on the action too, racing to social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok to post their wild reactions to finding out about their favorite singer's engagement.
