Xbox is adding another layer to its growing rewards push, unveiling a new set of in-game challenges as the company approaches its 25th anniversary.

Per an official company announcement, beginning April 6, players who scan QR codes on specially marked Fanta cans and bottles will be able to unlock interactive missions and enter sweepstakes for Xbox hardware, Game Pass subscriptions, and exclusive digital content tied to some of the platform’s biggest franchises.

The promotion centers on three new challenges—“Extract the Cargo,” “Survive the Sweep,” and “Shatter the Spell”—which can be accessed through the QR codes printed on limited-edition packaging. Completing the activities gives players a chance to win prizes, including an Xbox Series S – 1TB, an Xbox Wireless Controller, a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers, and the new ROG Xbox Ally handheld.

The cans and bottles themselves are themed around several major Xbox franchises, including Halo, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Forza Horizon 6, and Diablo IV.

Xbox said players who participate can also unlock in-game items tied to those titles, including a special Spartan armor set in Halo, a custom car in Forza Horizon 6, and cosmetic items in Diablo IV and World of Warcraft.

In a statement announcing the collaboration, Marcos Waltenberg said the promotion is intended to connect the anniversary celebration directly to the games players are already playing.

Xbox is also taking the promotion offline. From May 22 through May 25, the company will transform the AMC theater at The Grove in Los Angeles into a Diablo IV-themed experience where attendees can compete for additional prizes, including a trip to BlizzCon.

The rollout comes just months after Xbox expanded and restructured its Game Pass subscription model. Earlier this year, Microsoft’s January lineup added games including Star Wars Outlaws and Resident Evil Village, though access varied depending on whether subscribers had Ultimate, Premium, or lower-tier memberships.

That change drew attention because some titles were available only to top-tier users, while others were simply moving from one tier to another rather than being entirely new additions.
