Todd Bridges has officially filed to end his marriage to Bettijo B. Hirschi.
According to court records filed in Maricopa County, Arizona, and obtained by People, the 60-year-old actor submitted a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage on March 31, just three months after publicly confirming that he and Hirschi had separated. In the filing, Bridges stated that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
The divorce appears to be largely uncontested. Documents indicate that neither Bridges nor Hirschi is seeking spousal support, and both sides agreed there are no shared debts or community property to divide. The pair reportedly reached the terms of their split privately before the filing, and both are representing themselves in court rather than using attorneys.
The latest development comes after months of growing attention around the couple’s finances and home life. Earlier this year, court records connected to Hirschi’s legal dispute with her first husband revealed that Bridges was earning approximately $700 per month through occasional contract work.
Hirschi told a judge in October 2025 that Bridges was “semi-retired” and did not have a steady income, adding that she covered the mortgage and most household expenses.
Bridges and Hirschi first announced in January that they were ending their marriage. At the time, Bridges released a statement describing the breakup as painful but amicable.
“After much prayer and reflection, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” Bridges said. He later added that the split came “with a heavy heart,” while expressing gratitude for “the lessons we’ve learned” and “the family we’ve built.”
Bridges and Hirschi married in September 2022 after less than a year together. Hirschi previously explained that the two met in January 2022 after a friend created a dating profile for her and showed it to Bridges as “market research.”
The connection moved quickly. Bridges proposed within six months, and the couple married nine months after their first meeting.
During their relationship, the pair blended their families and worked together professionally. In 2024, they launched the DANG! podcast, where they discussed topics including marriage, addiction, anxiety, parenting, and recovery.
Hirschi brought four children from a previous marriage into the relationship, while Bridges shares two adult children—Spencer and Bo—with his first wife, Dori.
This is the second divorce for Bridges, who remains best known for playing Willis Jackson on Diff’rent Strokes.
