Steve Harvey is making it clear that protecting his family is not negotiable. During a wide-ranging appearance on the One on One with Kris Fade podcast, the longtime TV host revealed that he has personally tracked down people who made “derogatory” comments about his wife, Marjorie Harvey, and his daughters online.
Speaking candidly about fatherhood, fame, and family, Harvey explained that criticism aimed at him is one thing, but attacks on his loved ones cross a line. “You can say whatever you want to say to me. I don’t care,” Harvey said during the interview. “But once you talk about Marjorie or them girls of mine…I’ll find you.” He added that fake accounts and private profiles no longer offer much protection online because “people know how to decode all that.”
The conversation also gave listeners a closer look at the blended family Harvey and Marjorie have built since marrying in 2007. Together, they have seven children from previous relationships, including Steve’s biological children, Brandi, Karli, Broderick Jr., and Wynton, as well as Marjorie’s children, Morgan, Jason, and Lori, whom Harvey legally adopted after their marriage.
Over the years, the family has become a visible part of Harvey’s public image, especially as several of the children have launched careers of their own in business, fashion, wellness, and entertainment.
Lori Harvey, in particular, has grown into a major public figure through modeling and beauty ventures, while Jason Harvey founded the luxury footwear brand Yevrah, and Morgan Harvey built a following through her food and lifestyle platform.
Harvey noted during the interview that his daughters receive especially intense protection from him and their brothers. “My daughters have some gatekeepers,” he said. “They got three brothers, and they got a daddy.”
At one point, Harvey recalled warning one of his daughters’ former boyfriends after the man challenged his authority as a parent. “Everything on this side of the gate belong to me, including her,” Harvey said, while explaining the tense exchange. He later admitted he told the man, “I’m going to have you killed,” before laughing off the story as an example of how seriously he takes protecting his family.
The interview also touched on Harvey’s reputation for staying away from Hollywood nightlife and celebrity party culture. He explained that avoiding those environments was a deliberate decision designed to protect both his brand and his marriage.
“I’m a family guy,” Harvey said, later adding that his wife “don’t have to look for me” because he prefers going home instead of chasing the nightlife scene.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Harvey reflected on mistakes he made during earlier chapters of his life, including failed marriages, homelessness, and struggling to balance fatherhood with his career ambitions.
The comedian openly admitted he “was the problem” in his earlier relationships and described Marjorie as a “game changer” who helped reshape his outlook on family and stability.
