Russell Wilson and Ciara marked their daughter Sienna’s ninth birthday with a series of posts that doubled as a snapshot of how their family—and their kids’ interests—are evolving.
According to E! News, the couple shared photos of Sienna Princess Wilson on April 29, showing her on a football field in full practice mode, reinforcing that their children are not just around sports culture—they’re actively part of it. The birthday tributes quickly circulated, with both parents’ highlighting Sienna’s personality and presence as she grows into her own.
“Sienna you continue to amaze us every day with the incredible young lady you’re growing up to be babygirl!” Wilson wrote on Instagram. “Daddy & Mommy love you so much!!! God has put such a bright light inside of you and we love watching you let it shine brighter.”
Ciara echoed that tone in her own post, describing her daughter as “smart, sassy, loving, confident, and one of a kind,” before adding, “My mini me! It is truly a blessing to celebrate you extra big today!”
The football imagery wasn’t random. Both Wilson and Ciara have recently spoken about Sienna’s growing interest in the sport, with Wilson noting in an interview that she’s “amazingly talented” on the field.
Ciara added that her daughter is “fearless” and “believes in herself.”
Sienna has also made it clear where she sees herself going. “If they make a football team for the girls, I’d do that,” she said. “If they make one, which they should.”
That focus on athletics tracks with the broader dynamic in the Wilson household. Sienna’s older brother, Future Zahir, has already begun exploring his own path, including a recent visit to the University of Texas with Wilson to tour football facilities.
Reflecting on that trip, Future said, “I’d be really happy going there in the future…I had a really good time going there with my dad.”
The birthday moment also occurs during a period of professional transition for Wilson. After the 2025 season with the New York Giants—where he threw for 831 yards and three touchdowns across limited appearances—he entered free agency and has remained without a team.
Earlier this year, he stated that he’s “not blinking” about continuing his NFL career.
