Rihanna has made a career out of turning every appearance into an event. Now, she’s doing it with her youngest child.

The superstar fronts the latest issue of W alongside daughter Rocki, giving the 2025-born baby her first public appearance—and doing it in unmistakably Rihanna fashion.

For the cover story, Rocki appears in a custom Dior Haute Couture diaper and matching headpiece designed exclusively for her by Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson. The tiny look, which Anderson called “definitely a first for Dior,” instantly became the standout image of the magazine’s Pop Issue.

Photographed by Tim Walker and styled by Jahleel Weaver, the editorial leans fully into Rihanna’s ability to blur the line between fashion fantasy and pop culture history.

Rihanna has largely kept her daughter out of the public eye since welcoming her in 2025. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are already parents to sons RZA and Riot, but this marks the first time their daughter has been formally introduced to the world.

The feature also doubles as a tribute to Rihanna’s influence far beyond music. W assembled friends, collaborators, and longtime admirers—including Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, SZA, and Sarah Paulson—to reflect on what has made Rihanna such a singular figure.

Anderson said creating Rocki’s custom look was a natural extension of Rihanna’s instincts. “When Rihanna asks for something, she is already ahead of what is happening,” he told the magazine. “She is thinking outside the box.”

That instinct has defined Rihanna’s career for more than two decades. Since breaking out with “Pon de Replay” at 17, she has built an empire that stretches from chart-topping music to Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, while repeatedly changing the conversation around fashion and beauty.

In 2017, Fenty Beauty launched with more than 40 foundation shades, a move that pushed the entire cosmetics industry toward greater inclusivity.
