Daytime television nostalgia is colliding with modern pop culture this week as The View welcomes two of the most recognizable figures in talk show history: Maury Povich and Oprah Winfrey.

Per an official release from ABC, the long-running ABC series, now in its 29th season, has lined up a guest roster that blends legacy media, current conversations, and a little internet-fueled chaos.

Maury is scheduled to appear on Monday, January 12, to promote the new docuseries, Dirty Talk: When Daytime Talk Shows Ruled TV, a look back at the era he helped define. While Maury officially retired in 2022, his name never really left the cultural bloodstream—especially in hip-hop spaces.

Since his retirement, Povich has gone viral after publicly floating the idea of coming out of retirement to mediate major rap feuds using his signature lie detector tests. He specifically name-checked Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, as well as Drake and Kendrick Lamar, proposing primetime specials that would apply his truth-seeking format to modern rap beefs.

The idea caught fire online and was widely discussed on platforms like The Breakfast Club, where hosts and fans alike leaned into the concept. Maury’s long-running “You are NOT the father” moments have long been referenced in rap lyrics, memes, and internet culture.

Midweek brings another heavyweight. Oprah is set to appear on Wednesday, Jan. 14, alongside Dr. Ania Jastreboff. The two are promoting their new book, Enough: Your Health, Your Weight, and What It’s Like to Be Free.

Her conversation is expected to center on health, personal agency, and long-term wellness—topics she’s shaped public dialogue around for decades.

The rest of the week rounds out with a mix of entertainment, food, and pop culture. Chef Jamie Oliver and actor Tom Blyth stop by on Tuesday. Thursday’s guests include Kenan Thompson and Jesse Williams, while Friday wraps with Walton Goggins and Kim Fields.
