Martin Lawrence is bringing his “Y’all Still Know What It Is” stand-up tour to the Las Vegas Strip for a single night.

The comedian and actor will headline Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas on Nov. 15, according to Vegas' CBS affiliate 8 News Now. It marks part of Lawrence’s first headlining tour in eight years.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. PT.

As his latest tour rolls on, Lawrence has described how he approaches the craft today. “The way fighters train, I train my comedy like that,” he told the Los Angeles Times, explaining that the discipline he once applied as a Golden Gloves boxing contender now guides how he writes and sharpens material. That toolbox includes frequent club drop-ins to work out new jokes and a back-to-basics mindset: “As a comedian, you’re always starting fresh… you always got to go back to the beginning,” he said.

The outlet notes that Lawrence built this run quickly—writing and rehearsing in four weeks after filming Bad Boys: Ride or Die—and that he has kept rooms packed by blending the sex-forward material that longtime fans expect with observations on current events and family life.

That family focus remains central. “Family is everything… they’re the ones who help you get through the hard times, as well as the good times,” he said, adding that his brother Robert often collaborates on material.

While Martin remains a cultural staple, Lawrence has said a reboot isn’t in the cards following the 2016 passing of Thomas Mikal Ford, who played Tommy.

Looking ahead, he has discussed future projects, including a Blue Streak sequel and a book, while continuing to tour.

As he said: “What still excites me the most about stand-up today, is just the fact that I can still do it… at a high level.”
