Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa reunited this week for a major family milestone, coming together in Los Angeles to celebrate their daughter, Lola Iolani Momoa’s high school graduation. The former couple, whose relationship spanned nearly two decades, were photographed alongside their 18-year-old daughter during the June 4 ceremony, marking a rare public appearance together since finalizing their divorce in 2024.
According to Page Six, Momoa helped Lola arrange several leis around her neck before the family posed for pictures together. The graduation accessories carried special significance, reflecting both a longstanding graduation tradition and Lola’s Hawaiian heritage. Lola wore a white graduation gown over a green floral dress, while Bonet and Momoa appeared relaxed as they joined family members in celebrating the occasion. The pair also shares a 17-year-old son named Nakoa-Wolf.
The reunion highlights a family dynamic that has remained closely connected despite the end of Momoa and Bonet’s marriage. Their relationship began in 2005 after meeting through mutual friends in Los Angeles.
Years earlier, Momoa had famously recalled developing a childhood crush on Bonet after watching her on The Cosby Show. Together, they built a family that included Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, while Momoa also became a prominent presence in the life of Bonet’s daughter, Zoë Kravitz, from Bonet’s previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz.
When the couple publicly announced their separation in 2022, they framed the decision as part of a period of personal growth and change. In a joint statement released at the time, they wrote, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times,” adding that their family was experiencing the same shifts affecting many others.
They also emphasized that sharing the news publicly was intended to allow them to move forward “with dignity and honesty.”
The statement also underscored the commitment that would remain after their marriage ended. “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived,” they wrote. The message concluded with a pledge that their devotion to their children would remain unwavering as they navigated the next chapter of their lives.
Bonet and Momoa were legally married in 2017 after more than a decade together, but court filings later revealed that they had separated several years before their divorce was finalized in 2024.
