Kayla Nicole wants you to keep your nose out of her business.

The media personality took to Instagram Stories on February 24 with a pointed message after facing backlash over her recent comments about Travis Kelce. In the post, she shared a quote that read, “People will deada** think you’re secretive before thinking it’s none of their business.”

She added her own line on top: “If you ever find yourself confused about my business understand it’s because you not supposed to be concerned with it to begin with.”

The post comes days after Nicole’s TikTok Live conversation, in which she reflected on her past relationship and described it as potentially a case of “right person, wrong time.” She also mentioned “compatibility issues” when asked why things ended.

Those comments quickly circulated online, with reactions focusing on what she meant and whether she was referring to Kelce as “the one who got away.” The response led to a wave of criticism across social platforms, prompting Nicole’s latest message.

That moment is just the latest in a stretch of public attention tied to Nicole’s past relationship and everything that’s followed.

Nicole and Kelce dated on and off from 2017 to 2022 before splitting for good. In 2023, Kelce began dating Taylor Swift, and the couple announced their engagement in August 2025.

Since then, multiple moments have kept Nicole connected to the conversation.

In October, she recreated Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me” video for Halloween, lip-syncing the lyrics, which sparked speculation that the post was directed at Kelce and Swift. Nicole later said the idea came from a childhood memory involving a friend named Taylor.

Around the same time, Swift released The Life of a Showgirl, which included the song “Opalite.” Fans pointed to certain lyrics and linked them back to Kelce’s past relationship.

The situation continued into the new year. According to Sporting News, Nicole appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for the Sleeper app, where she referenced an “ex-girlfriend fiasco” and avoided saying the word “swiftly,” a clear play on “Swifties,” instead using alternatives before the word was said in the scene.

More recently, she joined Toni Braxton onstage during a live performance of “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me,” returning to the same song that had already been part of the conversation.

She also fronted a Valentine’s Day campaign for skinBUTTR, posting photos with the caption “Certified lover girl.”
