Karen Sofía Quiroz Ramírez, a motorcycle influencer widely known online as “Biker Girl Karen,” has died following a traffic accident in Colombia. She was 25.
According to local outlet Metrópoles, the crash occurred on Wednesday, November 26, on a highway in Floridablanca.
Reports indicate that Quiroz Ramírez lost control of her motorcycle while riding on the roadway, where it collided laterally with a Chevrolet Spark. Moments later, she was struck by a truck traveling in the same area. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.
Officials say the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Transport official Jahir Andres told Us Weekly that an initial theory suggests the influencer may have been riding between vehicles at the time of the crash, a maneuver commonly referred to as lane splitting.
“The most likely hypothesis for the accident is that the motorcyclist was traveling between two vehicles,” Andres said. “This situation will be subject to an investigation.” He added that the Prosecutor’s Office will determine the precise cause through interviews, witness statements, and a review of security camera footage.
Quiroz Ramírez had built a substantial following as an influencer by documenting her motorcycle lifestyle and day-to-day experiences online. Under the name “Biker Girl Karen,” she amassed tens of thousands of followers across social platforms, including more than 31,000 on Instagram at the time of her death, according to Metrópoles.
Some reports place her combined audience across Instagram and TikTok closer to 45,000 followers.
Just hours before the crash, Quiroz Ramírez shared what would become her final social media posts. In one Instagram Story, she wrote, “I’m hoping I don’t crash, because I’m riding without my glasses,” according to the outlet.
Earlier that same day, she uploaded a video showing herself washing her black-and-pink motorcycle.
Emergency responders reportedly attempted to provide aid at the scene, but Quiroz Ramírez did not survive her injuries.
