Stefon Diggs is pushing back hard against a series of explosive claims made online, filing a defamation lawsuit against a social media personality he says fabricated an entire narrative for attention.

The suit, which was filed on October 1 and obtained by TMZ on Sunday, November 16, outlines allegations that the influencer falsely accused the New England Patriots wide receiver of drugging, sexually assaulting, and later attempting to have him killed.

According to the complaint, 31-year-old Diggs identifies the defendant as Christopher Blake Griffith, described in the filing as a “would-be social media influencer.”

Diggs says the two briefly crossed paths in May 2023 following a charity basketball event in Washington, D.C. That night, Diggs, Griffith, and several other influencers went out together before returning to the athlete’s Rockville, Maryland home.

Diggs states that the evening ended uneventfully. He alleges he went to his room shortly after arriving back at the house, while his assistant asked guests—including Griffith—to leave. In the lawsuit, Diggs maintains this was the extent of their interaction.

More than two years later, however, Diggs says Griffith resurfaced with what he calls a fictional and damaging story. Over the summer of 2025, Griffith posted a series of claims across his social media accounts, alleging Diggs had “drugged and sexually assaulted” him before ultimately conspiring to have him killed in an effort to hide “gay/bisexual secrets.”

Griffith also alleged there was a second violent encounter days after the charity game—an incident Diggs denies ever happened.

Diggs’ lawsuit asserts that Griffith shared these statements repeatedly and publicly, tagging not only the NFL and the New England Patriots, but also Ugg boots, one of Diggs’ major brand partners.

The New England Patriots receiver argues that the posts were calculated to go viral and caused significant harm to his reputation, professional relationships, and personal life.

In the filing, Diggs accuses Griffith of knowingly spreading false information “for clout and attention,” and seeks damages as well as attorneys’ fees. While the complaint does not list a specific financial amount, it emphasizes that the fallout from the allegations has been substantial.

Griffith’s attorney, Jake Lebowitz, responded to the lawsuit by rejecting Diggs’ claims outright. In a statement, he said Griffith “is looking forward to showing the world in court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks.”
