Jennifer Lopez sparked online debate on Christmas Day after sharing a mirror selfie that some fans believe shows signs of photo editing.

According to TMZ, the entertainer posted the image on December 25 to wish followers a happy holiday. In the photo, Lopez is seen wearing a sleeveless, clinging red sequin dress with a deep neckline.

She pulled her hair back into a bun, finished it with a red bow, and accessorized with a large diamond ring on her index finger. The post was captioned, “Merry Christmas one and all!”

While the image quickly gained traction for its festive styling, attention soon shifted to a detail that commenters claimed looked off. Several users pointed out that Lopez’s orange phone appeared slightly curved in the mirror reflection, prompting accusations that the image had been altered.

“You know you’re abusing them filters when the iPhone is now curved like a banana,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “Damn had no idea iPhone 17 also curves.” A third joked, “When did you all make a curved 17 Pro Max @Apple.”

The comments spread quickly, with screenshots of the post circulating across platforms as users debated whether the distortion was the result of Photoshop, a filter, or simply an optical illusion caused by the mirror angle.

Lopez has not responded publicly to the claims or addressed the speculation surrounding the image.

The selfie was one of several holiday-themed posts Lopez shared that day. In addition to the mirror photo, she posted video clips offering a look inside her home as she appeared to host family and friends. The footage showed an oversized Christmas tree, garland-lined staircases, and a red-toned tablescape with candles and tiered serving trays.

Earlier posts also included more casual holiday images, showing Lopez in pink-and-red striped pajamas alongside family members. Those photos received a less critical response and focused more on the holiday setting than on the photos themselves.

Lopez, who turned 56 earlier this year, has long faced public scrutiny over her appearance on social media, with fans and critics frequently dissecting her photos for signs of editing.
