Brooke Hogan is opening up about what she now calls her biggest regret following the death of her father, Hulk Hogan — and it has nothing to do with money.
Months after revealing that she had removed herself from Hulk Hogan’s will before his death in July 2025, Brooke says she wishes she had stayed involved so she could have some control over how her father’s legacy is handled.
Speaking while promoting her new wine brand, House of Stars, Brooke said being left out of the estate has left her without answers and without a voice.
“I think everybody very clearly understands that I was my dad’s protector and I loved him more than anything,” Brooke said to The New York Post. “The reason why I regret it, is because I do not have a place now to get answers.”
The new comments mark a shift from Brooke’s earlier stance. After Hulk Hogan died from a heart attack at 71, Brooke said she had “no regrets” about removing herself from the will and insisted she never expected to inherit anything.
Nick Hogan was named the primary beneficiary, while Hulk’s widow, Sky Daily, was listed as his surviving spouse.
Now, Brooke says the issue is not the nearly $5 million estate itself, but who controls it.
“I can’t do anything to help my dad after his death, or to find out answers, or to avenge him in any way, shape, or form, because the people that I so badly wanted to get away from are now running the show,” she said. “Which is even more of a nightmare.”
Brooke said she originally removed herself from the will for her own “sanity” and “safety,” believing it was the healthiest decision at the time. But she said she never expected the people she distrusted to ultimately be in charge of her father’s estate and public image.
“It’s not about money,” Brooke said. “It’s about doing the right thing and making sure that he is represented in the correct ways, and his legacy lives on in the most positive way.”
Those concerns come after Brooke recently reflected on another painful chapter involving her father: the fallout from Hulk Hogan’s leaked 2012 sex tape and the racist comments he made about her then-boyfriend, Yannique Barker. Brooke previously said the controversy “tore” them apart and left her feeling like the public sympathy was directed entirely at her father.
“My dad got so much, like, ‘Poor Hulk,’” she said earlier this month. “I’m like, ‘What about us?’ We were the subject of it.”
Brooke also revealed that she asked her brother for one of the crosses Hulk frequently wore, but says she was instead given “a pair of flip-flops and a couple of T-shirts he never wore.”
“It’s feeling more like a slap in the face as each day goes by,” she said.
Even as she continues to speak publicly about her fractured relationship with her family, Brooke says she is focused on breaking old patterns. Along with raising her twins with husband Steve Oleksy, she is returning to music, launching her wine brand, and working on new television projects.
