Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham says she’s preparing for another major medical procedure after revealing that she can no longer fully open her mouth due to what she described as a degenerative condition affecting her jaw.
Speaking on the Pillow Talk podcast, Abraham explained that she’s been diagnosed with what she called “degenerative disc disease” in her jaw and said the condition has reached a point where surgery is necessary. “I can’t use my jaw. I can’t open my mouth up normally,” she said during the interview, noting that she’s currently preparing for what she described as a “really big surgery.”
Abraham has spent more than a decade publicly documenting cosmetic procedures ranging from breast augmentation surgeries and rhinoplasty to lip fillers, buttock injections, veneers, and vaginal rejuvenation treatments.
Several of those procedures were featured on Teen Mom during her time on the show.
During the podcast conversation, Abraham attempted to joke about the limitations caused by her jaw condition, saying she wanted to “just open [her] mouth for a hotdog.”
The moment prompted a string of adult-themed jokes between Abraham and podcast host Ryan Pownall, though Abraham also acknowledged the seriousness of the upcoming operation.
Days later, she reposted coverage of the surgery to her Instagram Story and admitted she was nervous about the procedure. “I am scared of this but I know lots of women go through this,” she wrote.
Abraham’s latest health update arrives after she publicly claimed in late 2025 that she had stepped away from fillers and Botox in favor of “self-acceptance.” In interviews last year, she said allergic reactions to cosmetic fillers and seeing her face appear “super puffy” on television pushed her to reevaluate how often she altered her appearance.
Abraham, however, claims many of her procedures are “corrective” and “preventative,” arguing that undergoing surgery younger allowed for easier recovery.
The reality star has also been candid about the financial side of cosmetic enhancement. In 2024, Abraham claimed she had spent roughly $50,000 on procedures related to her mouth alone.
