Karen Derrico, one of the stars of TLC's Doubling Down with the Derricos, is facing multiple criminal charges after Las Vegas authorities arrested her over allegations that she threatened to kill her ex-husband, Deon Derrico, and members of their family. Prosecutors allege the reality TV personality sent a series of threatening emails following the couple's highly publicized split, leading to charges that include harassment, aggravated stalking, violating a restraining order, and preventing a witness from testifying through threats of violence.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors claim Karen sent messages telling Deon she could kill him and "didn't care about going to jail." Authorities also allege she threatened to "kill any of the kids" who chose to side with Deon during the couple's ongoing legal dispute.

Another alleged message warned Deon that she would kill him if he appeared at a court hearing related to the restraining order he had obtained against her.

Karen has pleaded not guilty. She was released after posting a $2,000 bond and is currently wearing an ankle monitor while the case moves through the court system.

A source close to Deon told TMZ that he initially sought a restraining order because of the alleged threats and later contacted police after they escalated. The source claimed the reported emails became part of the police investigation.

Karen's attorney, Jess Marchese, has sharply disputed those allegations, telling TMZ that "Deon sent the threats to himself and made it look like they were from Karen in order to screw her over."

Marchese added that the defense is working with technology experts to challenge the authenticity of the emails. Karen has also maintained her innocence, insisting she "would never threaten to harm her children."

The arrest marks a dramatic turn for a family that built a television following by documenting life with 14 children, including multiple sets of twins, triplets, and quintuplets. Doubling Down with the Derricos aired for five seasons between 2020 and 2024. Deon later confirmed the TLC series would not return for a sixth season, closing the chapter on one of the network's largest modern families.

Karen and Deon finalized their divorce in 2024 after citing irreconcilable differences, but they initially continued to live under the same roof to maintain stability for their 14 children. A source close to Deon told TMZ that Karen allegedly moved out with four of the children earlier this year.

Court records also show the former couple agreed to share legal and physical custody of their 13 minor children, while Deon pays $1,166 per month in child support.
