Bobbi Althoff is back behind the mic—and she’s not avoiding the topics that made her uncomfortable the first time around.
On a new episode of Not This Again, Althoff sits down with Suki the Magician, and the conversation quickly turns to sex, relationships, and how much of her personal life she’s willing to put on display.
At one point, Suki bluntly tells her, “You was getting taken to pound town,” referencing Althoff’s relationship with her boyfriend. Althoff immediately pushes back: “That’s crazy to say that.”
The moment becomes one of the episode’s central beats. Suki doubles down, questioning how Althoff presents herself versus what she’s actually doing in her personal life. “So, you didn’t go to pound town? … How did you have kids?” she asks.
Althoff tries to deflect with humor, responding, “I IVF… I had a baby made in the lab,” before the conversation circles back to sex again.
Althoff makes it clear she’s still not fully comfortable engaging in those discussions on-air. “I don’t want to talk about sex,” she says directly. Instead, she frames intimacy differently, saying what she values is “the connection… the love.”
Suki disagrees, arguing, “Sex isn’t bad… we should talk about it,” continuing to push the conversation into more explicit territory.
The two also discuss dating habits, sex drive, and relationships in blunt terms. When asked how often she would have sex, Suki answers, “Probably like every day… if I could,” while Althoff takes a more measured stance, continuing to avoid going into detail about her own experiences.
Althoff has said she’s returning to a more character-driven approach, describing the show as “dry and witty” and focused on making people uncomfortable.
The podcast itself is part of a broader reset for Althoff. After ending The Really Good Podcast in 2025, she relaunched with Not This Again, aiming for a more controlled and intentional format.
She’s acknowledged that her earlier shift away from her original persona didn’t land, and this new version is a return to what initially worked.
At the same time, Althoff is preparing to expand beyond podcasting. She’s set to perform at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival with a stand-up set titled Bobbi Althoff Tries Standup.
Despite having no prior experience, she accepted the opportunity anyway. “I was like, no, but I’m going to do it, so we’ll see,” she said.
