Ash Trevino, a Texas-based social media influencer whose online notoriety is closely tied to her relationships with incarcerated men, was arrested this week on outstanding felony warrants.

According to People, Trevino, whose legal name is Ashley Lopez-Trevino, was taken into custody on the evening of Wednesday, December 17, at her home in Venus, Texas.

The 36-year-old influencer was arrested after a Venus Police Department officer identified her as having active felony warrants issued by the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office. According to law enforcement, she was detained without incident and transported to the Ellis County Jail for booking.

Jail records show that Trevino was later released after posting a $15,000 bond.

With more than 500,000 followers across Instagram and Snapchat, Trevino has built a sizable, polarizing following by openly documenting her personal life online.

Much of her content centers on dating men who are currently incarcerated or recently released from prison, a pattern she has previously referred to as “inmate hopping.” She has also shared details about her life as a mother, which has drawn frequent criticism, particularly after remarks about her children’s living conditions circulated online.

While officials have not released full charging documents, reports indicate that the warrants stem from alleged financial crimes dating back to May 2019. The alleged offenses include securing the execution of a document by deception—typically involving misleading someone into signing paperwork that results in financial harm, with an amount reportedly between $2,500 and $30,000—as well as a healthcare fraud-related charge.

Both are felony-level accusations under Texas law.

Following her release, Trevino quickly returned to social media. In a Snapchat video posted after leaving jail, she appeared to joke about her situation as someone behind the camera said, “She’s free. She’s out.”

In a separate livestream that later circulated online, Trevino told viewers she had already retained legal counsel and planned to contest the charges. “I’m going to fight this,” she said, referring to the case.

Trevino has not provided additional details about the allegations and did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
