Anthony Anderson and Rocsi Diaz set social media buzzing after stepping out together during Golden Globes weekend, reigniting speculation that their long-rumored connection may be something more than friendship.
According to TMZ, the pair were spotted leaving Netflix’s Golden Globes after-party in Beverly Hills, walking side by side outside Wolfgang Puck’s Spago. Anderson kept it classic in a black tuxedo and bow tie, while Diaz turned heads in an elegant floral gown.
When asked directly about the nature of their evening together, Anderson offered a carefully worded response, saying Diaz was simply “my date for the evening.”
That measured phrasing only added fuel to the conversation. The two were seen holding hands as they made their exit, a detail that didn’t go unnoticed, given that dating rumors have followed them since late 2025, when they were first spotted together on multiple outings.
Anderson, 55, emphasized that their connection has stretched back for years. “We go back almost 20 years,” he said, referencing their early on-screen chemistry from Diaz’s days as a host on BET’s 106 & Park, where Anderson appeared as a guest.
At the time, Anderson was married to his college sweetheart, Alvina Stewart, whom he met at Howard University. The former couple married in 1999, had two children, and finalized their divorce in late 2023 after a long period of separation and attempts at reconciliation.
With that chapter now closed, the timing of Anderson and Diaz’s public appearances has naturally drawn attention. Still, Anderson stopped short of confirming anything romantic, adding, “Friends are always friends.”
Diaz, 41, has long been deliberate about keeping her personal life out of the spotlight. While she’s been linked to Anderson in recent months, she’s previously said she prefers to share relationship details only if they lead to engagement or marriage. In the past, she reportedly had an on-and-off relationship with singer Joe Thomas for several years before it ended in early 2024.
Despite persistent rumors during her 106 & Park era, Diaz has also been clear that she never dated former co-host Terrence J.
