Anthony Anderson has officially entered a new chapter of his personal life — and he’s letting people know, even if he’s keeping some details close to the vest.

While attending the red carpet for Netflix’s Star Search, the 55-year-old actor confirmed to People that he is no longer single, marking his first public acknowledgment of a new relationship since finalizing his divorce in 2023.

Asked whether hosting the revived talent competition had boosted his “eligible bachelor” status, Anderson shut that idea down quickly. “I’m no longer a bachelor,” Anderson said, adding that his girlfriend was in attendance for the taping. “My lady was at the show last night. She enjoyed it and we enjoyed it together.”

What Anderson did not do, however, was name the woman he’s currently dating. He kept the focus on the experience itself, joking that he didn’t receive any feedback on his hosting performance afterward, though he teased that future notes might still be on the table.

The confirmation comes roughly two years after Anderson finalized his divorce from his former wife, Alvina Stewart. The pair married in 1999 after meeting in college and share two children, Kyra and Nathan. Their relationship spanned more than two decades and included a period of reconciliation following an initial divorce filing in 2015, before ultimately ending for good in 2023.

Anderson’s decision to confirm his relationship status — without revealing who his partner is — has only intensified speculation about him and media personality Rocsi Diaz, who have been spotted together on multiple occasions.

Those rumors gained traction earlier this month when Anderson and Diaz arrived together at Golden Globes weekend events, including a Netflix after-party in Beverly Hills.

The pair was photographed leaving the celebration hand in hand, and when asked directly whether they were dating, Anderson described Diaz as “my date for the evening.”

He also noted that they’ve known each other for nearly two decades, dating back to his guest appearances on 106 & Park during Diaz’s time as a host.

Diaz, for her part, has long maintained a private approach to her dating life and has previously said she prefers to keep relationships out of the public eye unless they’re headed toward marriage.
