In an interview with Jason Lee for BET Networks, Ray J suggested he “wouldn’t put it past” Kris Jenner to take extreme action against him because of the legal battle over his infamous 2007 sex tape with Kim Kardashian.
At the 39-minute point of the interview, which can be seen above, Lee asked Ray J if he was “scared” of Kris Jenner, whom he has accused of orchestrating the release of the sex tape, which the business mogul denies.
“Am I scared of Kris Jenner? Absolutely not,” Ray J said. “Am I scared that she’ll try to do something to me? Yeah. I’m not scared she’ll try to do something to me, but am I on alert? Yeah.”
Lee zeroed in on what Ray J was seemingly alluding to and asked if Jenner “would drop a bag to have a hit done.”
“In my opinion… I wouldn’t put it past her,” Ray J said. “Especially because of what I am and what we are, and what they are, and what I know, and what’s being displayed and shown as the months go by. It all comes out.”
He also addressed why he’s been “quiet” about his allegations regarding the Kardashian family, who are suing him for defamation, and revealed that he “sat down” with the Kardashians—but not Jenner.
He said that he came to an agreement with Kim Kardashian and some of her representatives in 2023, with both parties saying they would never talk about each other again.
“A month later, the new season comes out, and they’re talking about it again,” he said, alluding to an agreement they signed. He has accused them of breaching the agreement.
Last year, Kardashian and Jenner filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J after he alleged they were under federal investigation for racketeering. Shortly after, Ray J filed a cross-complaint and disputed the accusations against him, accusing them of breaching a 2023 settlement to not publicly discuss the tape ever again.
In the same complaint, he alleged that Jenner personally oversaw the release of the tape and that he, Kardashian, and Jenner signed licensing agreements with Vivid Entertainment, the company that distributed the tape in 2007.
The last update on the legal battle came in March, when a judge refused Kardashian and Jenner’s requests to keep details of their alleged settlement with Ray J from being made public.
