Quenlin Blackwell has offered a preview of her DMs with Drake after she noticed he shared a picture of her on Instagram.

“Drake posted me on his Instagram, and then I commented on it,” Blackwell said during a recent video with fellow content creator Larray. “I was trying to create a conversation before getting to what I really wanted, which was asking him to come on my cooking show, y'all. Listen to this conversation. Drake used me as one of his pictures in his carousel to promote Iceman, whatever the new album is, Yes! coming out. And I'm like, ‘Oh my God, I want Drake on the cooking show,’ but I felt like it was rude to just pull up and ask. So I was like, ‘Let me start a conversation!’”

Blackwell hosts a cooking series on YouTube titled Feeding Starving Celebrities, which has featured a number of high-profile guests, including Charli XCX, PinkPantheress, Addison Rae, and Lil Yachty, among others. She lamented that she really wished she had just asked Drizzy straight-up if he’d come on the show, and admitted that their interaction probably “scared” him off.

“I said, ‘Did you watch the video?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Sick,’” she laughed, reading back their DMs. “I said, ‘It was real ice. I said I almost died for the shot. Almost.’ Why was I doing all this? I look dick hungry. ‘I almost died for the shot. I almost lost my fingers for the shot. I didn't put your life on the line for a gag.’ He said, ‘A couple of times, I almost bit the dust.’ I said, ‘Respect, brother. We live and die for this shit.’ And then I put in quotes, because we have OCD. I said, ‘We don't die because there's no death in our cards.’”

Blackwell admitted that he didn’t respond for a while after that, but when he did, she shot her shot at inviting him on her cooking show. “You look like a fucking tarot card reader,” Larray joked. “Drake, come on,” Blackwell said, noting that Drake never responded to her again. “Drake, can you please come on the cooking show? We’ll have such a fun time.”

Last year, Blackwell, featured in a Complex cover story, sat down for an episode of Please Explain with Aria Hughes, and showed up for an episode of Sneaker Shopping with Joe La Puma.
