After months of back-and-forth, DDG and Halle Bailey have reached a temporary agreement in their custody dispute over their child.

As reported by TMZ, the former couple and parents of one-year-old Halo have dropped their domestic violence restraining orders (DVRO) against each other. The filing was approved on Monday (Oct. 27), pushing them closer to a resolution in the bitter custody battle in which they both accused each other of mental and physical abuse. While they’ve dropped their DVRO requests, they are able to open them again in the future.

DDG and Bailey have agreed on a temporary custody agreement that will see the former with custody of Halo on Wednesdays and select weekends, and Bailey with custody of their son the remaining days. They’ve agreed to implement a different schedule in two months. The couple broke up around this time last year. As part of their temporary agreement, they aren’t allowed to publicly disparage each other or post their child on social media.

The news comes not long after the restraining order between the two, which was originally scheduled to end on Oct. 15, was extended until Nov. 5. Earlier this month, DDG got candid about their issues and parenting situation in the song “17 More Years,” in which he made it clear that he didn’t want to be at odds with the mother of his only child anymore.

"I don't wanna fight no more, tired of the court dates/Lawyers gettin’ over on us, watching' money go to waste/We should all get together on his birthday, light the cake/If we talk, it'll get better, go ahead and drop the case,” he says on the track. “We ain't got no communication, that's the main thing/Every time we walk into that court they say the same thing/These judges judgin' me and I gotta stay calm/Still got respect for you, you are a good mom.”

Back in May, Bailey filed a police report against DDG and claimed that he attacked her on multiple occasions. He later attempted to stop her from leaving the country with her son to shoot a movie, but the request was denied by a judge.
