Bianca Censori has finally addressed her Venice water taxi incident with Kanye West, which led to speculation that the couple were being intimate in public.
In 2023, photographs captured of the couple in Italy showed Ye had exposed his butt in public. While referring to herself as a "nepo wife" — someone who was catapulted into celebrity status because of her relationship with Ye — in a new interview with Vanity Fair, Censori said that she quickly learned that her image would be everywhere at all times without her express consent.
"Your image is replicated without your consent all the time," she said. "It’s replicated, it’s brought down, it’s picked apart, all those kind of things."
Attention on the couple reached a fever pitch around the time of the Venice incident, and due to Ye’s butt being on display in several photographs, there was speculation online that she was performing oral sex on her husband while riding on the boat.
When asked about the incident, she was asked if she knew what people thought happened there. "Yes," she said. "That I gave a blowjob on the boat?"
She said that despite the speculation, she did not perform oral sex on her husband while riding on the boat. Instead, she was kneeling on a stool and resting her head on Ye’s lap, and that her aunt was on board at the same time. “It was the first time I was really embarrassed," she added. "I felt embarrassed because of my dad."
Over time, however, she’s grown to not care about the speculation and attention that being married to one of the most infamous men in the world brings. After photos of the incident went viral, a spokesperson for motorboat travel company Venezia Turismo Motoscafi said the boat driver did not witness any lewd acts, but if he did, they would have been kicked off the boat.
The spokesperson said that there was a "third person on board the taxi," assumedly Censori’s aunt, who "obstructed the captain’s view to the stern." Despite the little evidence indicating that they had engaged in lewd acts, the two received a lifetime ban from using the water taxi service again. We completely dissociate ourselves from such acts and behavior," they added. "Mr West and his wife will certainly no longer be welcome on board our company’s boats."
Elsewhere in her new interview, she also insisted that her scantily clad outfits, which included her daring sheer bodysuit at the 2025 Grammys red carpet, were not cheap attention-seeking moments but artistic statements.
"I’ve never gone home and cried myself to sleep over anything anyone has said, because it interests me when the reaction is not the intention, because that’s just what lives within everybody," she added. "I was explaining this to somebody once and he said, 'Well, your intention was lost.' It’s okay that the intention was lost. It doesn’t matter. I was able to express myself. That’s all that mattered."
