Angelina Jolie and Akala Aren't Dating Despite Rumors

Despite rumors that actor Angelina Jolie and British rapper and activist Akala are dating, the two are reportedly just friends.

As reported by TMZ, the two were recently spotted together at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, where Jolie's new film Maria premiered. The photos, originally published by the British tabloid the Daily Mail, fueled rumors that they were dating. However, sources have since told outlets that they're just friends and have been friends for a long time.

A source told TMZ that Akala is currently dating someone else, who was conveniently cropped out of the photos.

"They share the same passion when it comes to social and humanitarian causes," another source told People. "They did several collabs over the years that focus on global issues like human rights. Angie speaks very highly of him."

Gossip publication In Touch reported earlier this year that Jolie and Akala had been "quietly seeing each other under the radar" for over a year. The publication also reported that she has been seeing The Outsiders co-writer and composer Justin Levine.
