A pop-up shop for Timothée Chalamet’s upcoming A24 film Marty Supreme drew a massive crowd in Los Angeles on Monday, prompting an LAPD response after fans packed the block for merch.

Videos from the scene showed lines stretching down the street as people waited to snag exclusive items tied to the film, which hits theaters on December 25.

According to a statement shared with TMZ, LAPD officers responded to reports of a “large gathering” at 1:53 p.m. on Monday. Cops called in additional units as they tried to get control of the scene but ultimately left without issuing citations or shutting down the pop-up. In footage circulating online, officers could be heard debating whether to declare the crowd an unlawful assembly, though no such order was given.

Entry to the pop-up required pre-booked tickets, and according to TMZ, one manager was filmed telling un-ticketed fans to clear out of the line. Security, barricades, and fencing were set up to manage the rush, which reportedly started forming as early as Sunday. Among the most hyped drops was a Marty Supreme windbreaker, along with zip-up hoodies, polo shirts, and A24-branded soccer jerseys.

Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, stars Chalamet as Marty Mauser alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A'zion. The film follows a rising ping-pong player and has already built heavy fan buzz ahead of its Christmas Day release.

The Marty Supreme jacket has already been spotted on Tom Brady, Kid Cudi, Kylie Jenner, and more. For a deeper look at why the merch is going viral, tap in here.
