Desi Banks has denied any involvement in an advertising campaign that reports have connected to alleged Mossad recruitment efforts, saying his company’s name may have been used without authorization.

In a post shared on X on January 21, the Atlanta-based comedian said he had no knowledge of the advertisements and rejected claims that he participated in or approved any political or foreign-language campaigns. “I don’t even know what any of this is,” Banks wrote. “Someone used my LLC without my knowledge. How? I don’t know yet.”

Banks added that he has never run or approved political advertising and said his team is working with Google to remove any material that may have been posted without his permission and to determine how his company name was associated with the account in question. He described the situation as “confusing and frustrating” and urged people not to spread unverified claims.

Banks said he is continuing to seek answers and seemingly emphasized that he has no known history of involvement in political advocacy or international affairs. “I would never in my life be involved in something like this,” he wrote.

The statement follows reporting by The Grayzone, which alleged that a Google advertising account registered under the name Desi Banks Productions LLC was used to run Persian-language ads linked to recruitment messaging attributed to Israel’s national intelligence agency, Mossad. The outlet cited advertising transparency records indicating the campaigns appeared in multiple countries.

The Grayzone editor Max Blumenthal responded to Banks’ tweet, saying Google confirmed it suspended the advertising account on January 20, 2026, over “egregious” policy violations and removed the ads from its transparency portal.

“Desi, we have been trying to reach you for comment on our report about your LLC being used to buy ads for the Israeli Mossad assassination agency," Blumenthal wrote. “Google suspended your account today for ‘egregious’ violations; It’s time to explain what’s happening here.”

In another post on X, Blumenthal called out Banks, claiming he “received journalistic queries in September 2025 about Banks’ LLC being used to service Mossad recruitment ads via Google.”

Desi responded to Blumenthal, saying he “hasn’t received shit” regarding the situation and suggesting Blumenthal may have been trying to get “clout.”

"Max whoever you is I haven’t received shit this long ass message you sent you may be apart of the problem trying to get clout. You work with them folks I googled you too," Banks wrote. "Idk how my LLC got involved I DONT KNOW. If you so smart and know google how about you see who card was on file you got to pay for ads right or account or whatever it was connect the emails you will find the real person how bout you do this or ask them. But trust me time going to tell. I just can’t believe this is happening to me."

Prior to the release of the report, Banks took to social media, suggesting that “when things are going good for you trust me the enemy do things to try an distract you and steal your joy.”

According to the reports, some of the ads offered financial incentives and protection to individuals who cooperated and included links to a Persian-language recruitment website attributed to Mossad. Other ads were described as using misleading or unrelated labeling, such as categorizing campaigns under non-political themes, claims that have not been verified at the time of this writing.

Following anti-government rioters hitting the streets in Iranian cities, a new series of Farsi-language online recruitment ads were published, per The Grayzone. On January 14, @payameabi, a Twitter/X account reportedly linked to Israeli intelligence shared an AI video showing an Iranian protester in the middle of a street, facing officers on motorbikes.

“Your role, Iranians abroad, is vital,” the tweet from @payameabi reads. “The final days of the regime have arrived. If you know someone who works in sensitive industries and centers, call us… Our organization is by your side.”

Of course, it’s wild that Desi Banks is wrapped up in all this, but as the internet normally does, there have been jokes about the Atlanta comedian’s situation.

“Desi Banks having Mossad ties got me wheezing. Yo, holy shit. What a crazy year so far," one user wrote.

“Be offline for a couple hours & you come back & see Desi Banks a mossad agent," another user wrote.
