Timothée Chalamet is still cranking that Soulja Boy in 2024.
Before he takes things back to the sixties with his take on Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic, A Complete Unknown, Chalamet returned to his early aughts Timmy Tim roots and showed off his best Soulja Boy dance moves.
The 28-year-old actor made a surprise appearance on a new episode of the Broski Report on YouTube around the 47:23 mark in the video linked here. In the episode, hosted by social media personality Brittany Broski a.k.a Kombucha Girl, asked Chalamet for his top three favorite albums of all time.
He answered with Bob Dylan’s Bringing it All Back Home, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, and Soulja Boy’s 2007 debut Souljaboytellem.com which spawned his global hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy).”
“A true artist, a groundbreaker, a generational defining talent. Shout out, Soulja Boy,” Chalamet said before leading Broski through the infamous dance moves of the song.
It’s clear that Chalamet isn’t new to this, he’s true to this. Long before he became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Chalamet left quite a digital footprint with a series of videos of him dancing to “Crank That” in 2008 and a 2012-era “Timmy Tim” performance showcase at his high school where he’s seen rapping and dancing.
Soulja Boy has yet to respond to the bit, but let's ray he does.
