Soulja Boy appeared to offer his take on the lawsuit accusing Jay-Z of raping a 13-year-old alongside Diddy in 2000.

"When you in this industry, bro, you gotta stand on business, they 'gon lie on your name, n***a," Soulja Boy said during a recent Instagram Live stream. "They going to try to take you down, n***a. They don't want to see us winning. They don't want to see us having this money, n***a. When you in this rap industry, n***a... When you're a celebrity, you're a target, n***a."

While he didn't talk about the specifics of the case, he did say that he knew going into the music industry that he was "sacrificing the regular life."

On Sunday, December 8, Jay-Z was accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 alongside Diddy. The accuser filed the lawsuit in October but only named Diddy initially. Attorney Tony Buzbee later filed an amended complaint that included Jay-Z as a defendant.

In a statement shared via Roc Nation social media accounts, Jay-Z denied the allegation and called Buzbee a "deplorable human." Hov's legal team said that the Jane Doe accusing him should have her identity "disclosed immediately."

“For months, an extortionate campaign has been targeting this named Defendant under cover of darkness,” the motion to deny plaintiff's request to proceed anonymously reads. “That campaign was cynical and calculated to force payment of an exorbitant sum of money. Defendant would have to pay X millions of dollars irrespective of the truth, or else.”

Soulja Boy has joined a growing list of rappers who have responded to the lawsuit. 50 Cent shared a post on Instagram that appeared to troll Hov, while Meek Mill suggested the lawsuit is a "false narrative" being pushed on social media.
