Fans of The Breakfast Club will soon be able to watch the show live on Netflix.

The streaming giant announced on Thursday (May 21) that The Breakfast Club"will begin streaming live on Netflix every weekday starting June 1, making it the company's first daily live program, according to CNN.

The popular iHeartMedia morning radio show, co-hosted by Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious, will continue airing on Power 105.1 and through national syndication by Premiere Networks while also becoming part of Netflix's expanding live content lineup.

Netflix has traditionally focused on on-demand programming but has recently invested more heavily in live events, including NFL games, comedy specials and live broadcasts such as Alex Honnold's Taipei 101 climb.

While the streamer already carries full episodes of The Breakfast Club after they air on radio, the new live format will reportedly offer viewers a different experience.

Instead of traditional commercial breaks, Netflix said its stream will feature “exclusive bonus segments, behind-the-scenes moments, extended discussions and original content,” creating what it described as an “enhanced, uninterrupted experience.”

"The media landscape will always evolve, but one thing consistently cuts through: live programming," Charlamagne Tha God said in a statement, per CNN. “That's a big reason 'The Breakfast Club' has sustained its reign for so long. We're building something powerful — real-time conversation, real community, on a global scale.”

Lauren Smith, Netflix's vice president of content licensing and programming strategy, said the company sees the launch as “a big step forward in how we bring culturally defining audio-first franchises to life for Netflix audiences around the world.”
