Angela White says she won’t be getting a prenup nor a divorce.
In a recent episode of Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast, the 36-year-old (formerly known as Blac Chyna) and her fiancé Derrick Milano, 30, spoke about their views on marriage and their decision not to have a prenuptial agreement.
When asked about getting a prenup at the 50-minute mark in the video linked above, Milano said, “I’m not against it, I'm not opposed to it.”
“She has a lot of stuff already, you know what I'm saying?” he continued. “She got her cars, like that's hers. She got her sprinter, that's hers. She has her house, that's hers. I have my stuff, that's mine. But I'm not one of those people like, ‘Oh, you need to do one.’”
“There won't be a prenup… ‘cuz we're not getting divorced. That's it,” White said before explaining that, unlike some of her past relationships, she didn’t feel like she was in “a competition” with Milano.
“It's never been like that. It's some people, men, that want to compete with you in a relationship and it's wild. It's like, ‘I thought it was supposed to be me and you against them,’” she said.
On the other hand, co-host Jordan Emanuel admitted that she would need a prenup for her own peace of mind, citing concerns about sudden behavioral changes in a partner over time.
“I understand that too,” White said in response. “If somebody is cheating, obviously, you're not gonna—come on. No, you're not getting half, obviously. These are the obvious reasons. Abuse and stuff like that. These are obvious reasons why.”
White became engaged to Milano last month after a year of dating. The songwriter and artist popped the question on stage during Howard University’s homecoming event, Yard Fest. The two first met in 2019 but it wasn’t until Milano shot his shot through Instagram DMs and got the ball rolling.
