Will Ferrell Went Door-to-Door Campaigning for Stacey Abrams in Georgia

Will Ferrell and his wife Viveca Paulin headed to the Peach State to campaign for Stacey Abrams, who could become America's first black woman governor.

Will Ferrell joins a number of celebrities endorsing democratic candidates ahead of the midterm elections. Not only did Ferrell endorse one of the most exciting candidates in the South, but he also headed to Georgia to go door-to-door campaigning for progressive candidate Stacey Abrams, potentially America's first black woman governor.

With his wife Viveca Paulin-Ferrell, the actor stopped to talk about Abrams on the radio show Frank and Wanda in the Morning and campaigned at the Varsity in Atlanta, according to The Hollywood Reporter, all while sporting his "Stacey Abrams Governor” T-shirt. He also spoke to students at Kennesaw State University, encouraging them to vote. "If you guys turn out, there is no question," he told them.

"We keep asking ourselves, how can we help? What can we do locally being in California? Should we be knocking on doors?" Paulin-Ferrell told THR earlier this month. "So we’re going to go knock on doors for Stacey Abrams.”

Georgia's governor race is being watched closely on a national level, as early voting swings positively in the 44-year-old's favor against Republican nominee Brian Kemp.

"It's a critical election coming up and you have to care about it and get young people to care in order to use their power of voting. That's what it comes down to,” Paulin-Ferrell told THR.
