Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another is coming back to theaters — but only for a limited time.

On Tuesday, May 26, the famed New Beverly Cinema revealed via its official schedule that the Oscar-winning film will return to the Quentin Tarantino-owned theater from June 18 to 20. But this time, One Battle After Another will screen in old school 35mm format.

Since its premiere last September, One Battle After Another has screened in several formats, including 70mm, IMAX, and VistaVision, a vintage format that had largely fallen out of theatrical use for decades. But June will mark the first time One Battle After Another has been available to watch in 35mm.

Over the past year, One Battle After Another has proven to be a success. At the 98th Academy Awards back in March, the film won six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Anderson, and the first-ever Best Casting award. The film also served as a major breakthrough for Chase Infiniti, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at this year's Golden Globes, and took Teyana Taylor to new heights with an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

During the month of June, cinephiles can also look forward to screenings of The Third Man, E.T., War of the Worlds, and Edge of Tomorrow. New Beverly Cinema will also screen William Beaudine’s Blonde Ransom, which has never been released on home formats.

There will also be an opportunity to screen Pig director Michael Sarnoski’s new film The Death of Robin Hood ahead of its wide release. Like One Battle After Another, The Death of Robin Hood will also screen in 35mm, and Sarnoski himself will be present for the showing.

And of course, there will be midnight showings of Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

The June schedule is available to view on New Beverly Cinema’s official website.
