Fans might have to wait a while for the second season of Heated Rivalry, but they won’t be without the show’s beloved actors for too long.
Heated Rivalry’s lead actors Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams are set to narrate a romantasy series. The series, titled Ember & Ice will take place across three audio episodes, which will be released via Quinn beginning Tuesday, December 30. Cosmopolitan first reported the news on Monday, December 29.
"I think there is something very interesting about exploring sensuality and erotica just with your voice,” Williams told the publication.
According to the plot description from Quinn, Ember & Ice tells the story of two fictional princes from the rival Solari and Lunare kingdoms. This enemies-to-lovers tale is not unlike that of Heated Rivalry, in which Storrie and Williams respectively play Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander, two hockey players from rival teams, who engage in a years-long love affair. But according to Quinn, Storrie will not be speaking in the Russian accent he affects for his Heated Rivalry character.
“Hudson and Connor have a really special chemistry, and we feel incredibly lucky to work with them,” said Quinn founder and CEO Caroline Spiegel in a statement. “The way they connect with audiences and show up in the cultural conversation is exciting to watch.”
Heated Rivalry — based on the Game Changers book series by Rachel Reid — premiered on November 28 via Canadian network Crave and on HBO Max for its American audience. The series, which was adapted for television by Letterkenny creator Jacob Tierney — became an instant hit, reaching No. 1 on HBO Max’s most-streamed television shows. Heated Rivalry has since been renewed for a second season, which is expected to premiere in 2027.
The first two episodes of Ember & Ice are available to stream now via Quinn.
