While most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan jetted off to Venice for the wedding of billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sanchez, one sister opted out of the dolce vita vows.
Family matriarch Kris Jenner joined her daughters Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie for the lavish three-day affair, but Kourtney Kardashian skipped the trip and chose a different kind of family escape.
Instead of posing in palazzos, Instagram photos show the 46-year-old mom spent her weekend hanging out at the beach with daughter Penelope, 12, and sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10 — her children with Scott Disick — as well as Rocky, her 1-year-old son with husband Travis Barker.
Kourtney hasn’t revealed why she chose to miss the festivities, but her followers had plenty of opinions — and praise — for the decision.
“Cool Kardashians say no to the Bezos wedding!” a commenter wrote on Kourtney's Instagram.
Another was more direct, sniping, “Thank you for not going to that disgusting wedding.”
One fan joked that the reality star, who tied the knot with Barker, 49, in Portofino, Italy, on May 22, 2022, might have been feeling territorial and got “mad” because “Bezos took her wedding country.”
Bezos and Sanchez reportedly wed in a private ceremony on Friday, June 27, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. The bride wore a white lace corseted Dolce & Gabbana gown, and the guest list of around 200 people for the multi-day bash included everyone from Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates to Leonardo DiCaprio and Orlando Bloom.
