NBA Ben10 is reportedly in critical condition after being shot multiple times during an altercation in Houston, Texas.
According to KPRC, the family of the Never Broke Again affiliate (real name Ben Anthony Fields) confirmed he was one of two victims shot at Confessions restaurant on Wednesday night (April 8), after a chain-snatching incident led to a gun being fired in the establishment.
Police on the scene confirmed two individuals were in critical condition, but told Complex they can’t release the names due to it being an ongoing investigation.
"Right now, this is a shooting, we got two victims," Houston's Lieutenant R. Wilkens told reporters. "One been shot multiple times in the torso — probably in his late twenties. Another one's been shot in the extremities, in the lower extremities, and also all throughout his arms and everything, several times — he's probably in his mid-twenties. They're both transported to local hospitals right now, and they’re both in very critical conditions."
Lieutenant Wilkens said that the incident appeared to start after two individuals tried to take the chains of the shooter. "We don’t know if they knew him or what that was, but it appears possible they knew this guy," the officer said.
"Right after that, another fella jumps in, and several other people jump in as well, along with these other guys, and they start having a fist fight," he continued. "Sometime during that part of the fight, the victim, who originally looked like he was being majorly assaulted by several people and getting his chains ripped off, he presents a pistol. We don’t know where he got it from, but he got it — must have had it in his pants the whole time. But he got it out and started shooting randomly. Ends up hitting two people."
Lieutenant Wilkens said it's not clear as to whether the two people who were shot were the ones attempting to take the chains of the shooter.
After rumors began to circle online that NBA Ben10 was involved and had died, OG Monique, who is believed to be the mother of NBA YoungBoy affiliate OG 3three, took to Instagram to dispute the claims and confirm that the Baton Rouge rapper was, in fact, still alive.
"Ten is alert… Stop the made-up stories," she wrote.
At time of publishing, NBA YoungBoy has not responded to the reports of NBA Ben10's shooting.
