Benzino and Bobby V are facing accusations about their relationship status, and both artists have now denied the claims via social media.
On Saturday (Dec. 27), Althea Heart, hopped on Instagram to accuse the pair of having a relationship while she was dating Benzino, sharing alleged text messages between her and Benzino that she believes confirm her claim.
In screenshots of an alleged message thread that appear to be with Benzino, Heart wrote, "You was actually fucking Bobby v.! Please. I tried to love you. And I have my last to provide as a mother so you feel good about me losing My homes."
After the other person on the thread (implied to be Benzino) seemingly ignores the accusation, Heart followed up by clarifying, "So you’re admitting your bi sexuality omg."
On Sunday (Dec. 28), both Benzino and Bobby V denied the accusations on social media and said that they plan to sue Heart for defamation of character.
Keeping his first message short and sweet, Bobby V, who's currently in the UK on tour, posted a video of himself on Instagram Stories, warning anyone who wants to keep making accusations that he is no longer "playing games."
"It's cool. N***a wanna keep saying my name, I'm suing everybody who lying on me. I'm tired of playing games," he said in the clip.
In a follow-up post shared hours later, he wrote, "I have seen the blogs and the alleged text messages from Althea Hart on social media. It appears that her life is falling apart and she had decided to make false statements about me.
"At this point in my career, false statements of this type will only be met with lawsuits. Play time is over," he added.
Bobby V concluded, "Everyone that decides to defame me from this point forward is getting legal papers. No need to go back and forth on social media. Defaming me will have financial costs moving forward."
Benzino also shared an eight-minute Instagram video from the seat of his car, addressing numerous topics, including claims that Heart has been keeping the rapper from seeing their son, Zino, and that she's mistreating their son by not feeding him.
The former co-owner of The Source alleged that Heart was recently released from a mental facility and that she has reached out to him on numerous occasions to try and get back with him, claiming that he turned down her advances.
It was then that he denied ever having a romantic or sexual relationship with Bobby V.
"So once I turned her down, she's pissed off now, real pissed off," he claimed. "So now it's back to, you know, fuck my name over, tryna—she's been doing this for years and years. ... What the fuck does Bobby Valentino got to do with anything? Like, that shit is crazy. But we're about to sue her for defamation of character."
Heart hit back, asking Benzino in an Instagram post why the rapper is happy to sue her but not 50 Cent or others, including his girlfriend.
"Why you wanna sue your BM but you don’t want to sue 50 Cent you don’t wanna sue Shawna Brooks you ain’t sue your girl friend ( the picture in the red draws came from her interview)," she began her post.
She added: "Benzino you ain’t got to ever worry about me telling me your happy I lost some properties! You have no life insurance nothing to give your kid. Those weren’t mine they belonged to your son and how I provided for him so yes it has been a challenge lately!! I asked for anything consistent and it’s been NOTHING!!"
She also shared what appears to be a "final order paternity suit," which Heart claims shows that she has primary custody of the pair's child.
"The courts do not just take a kid away from his mother especially when she is trying her best !" she captioned the post. "This man has drained me dry paying lawyer fees. Call me big momma as I have ALways been the breadwinner providing for zino alone!! You can’t just not help out financially at all but can’t get off the internet with the B.S!"
She added: "I would have never named him zino or gave his last name…. This is a nightmare I just wanna be done with."
