A new OG Maco project has been released posthumously to benefit his family.

The late rapper’s X account shared a post announcing the new project, Legends Live Forever 2 that’s been made in collaboration with producer Kino Beats. It’s a follow-up to their 2019 project, Legends Live Forever.

“We are honored to share new music from OG Maco, a tribute to his legacy and a way to keep his spirit alive,” reads the post from his account that announces the project. “This release is dedicated to the fans who have supported him through every chapter of his journey, and we’re proud to announce that all proceeds will go directly to his family.”

“A special thank you to Kino Beats for his partnership in bringing thai project to life,” the post continues. “While we are working on a full album to celebrate Maco’s life and artistry, we wanted to give fans something meaningful to hold onto as we prepare for a private celebration of his life with those closest to him.”

Maco passed away on Dec. 26, at 32 years old, after being hospitalized on Dec. 12 for a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Shortly after his death, the rap world came together to mourn him for his unforgettable music and impact. “What you’ve done in your life in your career have been really nothing short of amazing bro,” said popular hip-hop music executive Stevo in a video tribute to Maco. “You’re a legend. Nobody can take away from what you did for this game and the city of Atlanta.”

“You really cemented yourself as one of them ones,” he continued. “One of the smartest men I’ve ever been around. I traveled the world with you, I think 15 or 16 different countries. It’s so crazy because all of the places we went, you always knew something — the customs, the culture, the language, to impress me.”
