“The fact that people act like changing Pampers makes a difference in your life is, like, so amazing to me," the artist said.

Nelly wants to make it crystal clear that he’s down to change a diaper or two for the son he shares with Ashanti following his comments about not changing diapers on their reality show earlier this year.

While speaking to DJ Envy for 96.1 The Beat, Nelly addressed the world and clarified his earlier comments on changing diapers.

“Let’s be clear. I have changed Pampers,” Nelly said with a laugh around the three-minute, 13-second mark. “Even when I made that statement, I have changed Pampers. But my thing was that when you get to a certain age, certain things (don’t matter).”

“The fact that people act like changing Pampers makes a difference in your life is, like, so amazing to me,” he continued. “I have never seen anybody go to the moon because an astronaut changed their diapers.”

On an episode of Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, Nelly recounted a conversation he had with Ashanti about their child before the cameras were rolling.

“I’m going to take you back to this conversation we had before you kicked me under the table,” Nelly said. “I said, ‘Baby, I’ll give you the world. I just ain’t changing no diaper.’”

In September, after presumably getting backlash for his parental style, Nelly backtracked on his previous comments.

"Excuse me, I've always changed diapers," Nelly told People. "I think people took a joke and made it into a debate.

"It was on our show, so if it didn't come off as a joke, then we are the ones to look at for that," he added. "But yeah, of course I've changed diapers. My thought process wasn't like, 'Yo, I'm not changing the diaper.' Our conversation was like, 'Listen, I'll do whatever needs to be done, but what I'm saying is that I'm giving you the best help I can get with me and a 24-hour nanny.' See, everybody forgets that part."
