One of NBA YoungBoy’s brothers has been put in a Texas jail for allegedly attempting to shoot a rapper and attacking his girlfriend with a pistol.
According to legal documents obtained by Complex, 22-year-old Kendell Gaulden has been incarcerated in Harris County after police claim he got into a violent confrontation at a party on Apr. 17. Gaulden is currently being held on a $500,000 bond after he was taken into custody on Apr. 20 on aggravated assault charges.
An affidavit from a Houston police officer, seen by Complex, claims that Gaulden got into an argument with Alliyah Jones, the girlfriend of Baton Rouge rapper Lil Dump, whose real name is Dedrick Wright. Per the officer, the argument began when Gaulden took Jones’ car keys without her permission, and Jones subsequently called the police. That call allegedly upset Gaulden, who then, according to the officer, pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and hit Jones in the face with it.
When Wright attempted to defend her, Gaulden allegedly pointed the pistol at him and attempted to fire it. The only reason a bullet didn’t come out, the affidavit continues, was that the magazine had fallen onto the ground — causing the weapon to just click.
Gaulden and Lil Dump seem to have a history, with pictures of them together on social media. Wright even has a collaboration with YoungBoy, 2024’s “Bling.”
This isn’t Gaulden’s only recent run-in with the law in Texas. Last year, he was accused of threatening to kill a woman. Authorities claimed he broke into her home and shot and killed her dog when she wasn’t there. He was actually still waiting to go on trial for that case, and had posted bail when this incident involving Lil Dump happened.
In other news about NBA YoungBoy affiliates, the Detroit rapper who is accused of a shooting at a Houston restaurant that reportedly involved NBA Ben10 and DeadEnd Ron is currently facing federal gun charges.
Allstar JR is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The incident was caught on surveillance footage by investigators. According to prosecutors, JR was attacked by multiple people. According to reports, among those people were NBA Ben10 and DeadEndRon. At some point during the altercation, JR allegedly got a hold of a gun and shot at people as they fled, before walking to one of the victims who was laying injured on the ground — reportedly NBA Ben10 — and shooting him multiple times.
JR is facing up to 15 years in federal prison and a potential $250,000 fine if convicted.
