A man has been arrested in Washington for the violent home invasion and robbery that occurred at Macklemore’s house on June 7, and his arrest led to a pawn shop raid where other celebs' allegedly stolen items were discovered.

Local authorities announced they had probable cause to believe that 29-year-old Patrick Maisonet, who was the primary suspect in the investigation, was involved in not just that burglary, but a string of other violent robberies as well.

Komo News reports that Maisonet's arrest came after a two-month investigation. As part of it, police raided a Seattle pawn shop and found thousands of dollars of stolen items from not just Macklemore, but from other celebrities in the area, such as former Seattle Seahawks player Richard Sherman. The owner of the pawn shop has been booked into a nearby jail on investigation of trafficking stolen property.

Macklemore’s home was burglarized on June 7 while he wasn’t home. A nanny was there with three sleeping children when she was attacked by two men using bear spray. The nanny later recounted that there were two suspects, a “taller one” and “shorter one.” The taller of the two suspects asked her, “Where are the jewels?” before she led them to the master bedroom where they made off with jewelry, watches, and shoes.

Afterward, the suspects attempted to physically restrain the nanny, but she was able to escape by biting the shorter suspect’s hand. She ran over to a neighboring house to call for help.

Maisonet had an active arrest warrant after prosecutors alleged he cut off an ankle monitor earlier this year. He was serving home detention due to another home invasion robbery from 2023.

The announcement of Maisonet’s arrest came a day after prosecutors in Washington announced the arrest of a man named Earl Riley in connection with home invasion burglaries of athletes like Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners. Police haven’t said if Maisonet and Riley were working together.
