A Los Angeles judge has handed Lil Wayne a court win this week, signing a $29,225 judgment against the security guard who sued him after the case was thrown out for persistent noncompliance.

The judgment, signed June 10, orders former security guard Christian Carlos and his attorney to jointly cover monetary sanctions and legal costs owed to the rapper.

The ruling formalizes an April decision in which a Los Angeles Superior Court judge issued terminating sanctions and cancelled an August trial date.

"The court is granting terminating sanctions because plaintiff willfully refused to comply with three discovery orders over nearly ten months, made affirmative misrepresentations to the court about compliance, and has still provided no responses as of April 21, 2026,” read the court’s decision.

Wayne's attorney, Ashlee Difuntorum, said Carlos failed to hand over "basic information" and documents tied to the alleged incident and the injuries he claimed.

The $29,225 total was built in two stages: the court had already awarded Wayne $26,000 in earlier sanctions before tacking on an additional $3,225 when it dismissed the case. The case closed with no finding on the underlying allegation itself.

Carlos filed the lawsuit in December 2023, claiming that during a 2021 confrontation at Wayne's home in Hidden Hills, California, the rapper allegedly pointed a semiautomatic rifle at him and punched him in the ear. The suit further alleged Carlos suffered severe emotional distress requiring PTSD treatment, as well as medical expenses and lost wages. Wayne denied Carlos’ allegations.

In other Weezy news, the North American leg of his 20+ Years of Carter Classics Tour, featuring 2 Chainz and The Game, kicks off later this month and runs through Oct. 23.

In other Lil Wayne news, the rapper opened up about the feeling of being left out of large-scale music events in a post on X in April.

"It’s truly a humbling experience when events like Coachella & the Grammys come around & like clockwork, I’m uninvited & uninvolved," he wrote. "I appreciate my position or space I hold in ya heart & mind, if so bc you’re the humbling experience that’s timeless & 4dat I thk u. Iaintshitwithoutu."
