Rapper Kay Flock has not been stabbed in prison, despite rumors that claim otherwise.
According to XXL, the rapper's lawyer, Michael T. Ashley, revealed that Flock is doing just fine. "I am glad to confirm that Mr. Kevin Perez a.k.a. Kay Flock is quite well. We met earlier this week, and I spoke with him moments ago," said Ashley.
"His spirits remain high, and he is resolved to continue to pursue justice in his case," Ashley added. "His notice of appeal was recently filed and various post-conviction remedies are being pursued on his behalf."
Rumors previously surfaced on Thursday (January 15) that Flock had been stabbed multiple times while behind bars.
These rumors come just days after Flock appealed his conviction for racketeering, attempted murder, and firearm charges that led him to being sentenced to three decades in prison
The appeal, reviewed in legal documents by Complex, follows Flock’s lawyer saying he had "little doubt" that such action would be taken following the sentencing.
Last March, Flock was found guilty of charges of racketeering conspiracy, use of a firearm resulting in death, attempted murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, and use of a firearm for attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
U.S. Attorney Patrick Moroney pushed for the rapper to get 50 years behind bars, claiming that he "perpetuated the cycle of killings. He bragged about it... He taunted his rivals to come to his territory and shoot."
Ashley instead proposed that Flock either get the 10-year statutory minimum or cooperate in a multi-year "punishment plan" involving denouncing acts of violence on social media and getting his GED.
