Ja Rule nearly harmed a crowd of people watching him golf at the Derek Jeter Invitational.

A clip of the moment is circulating online, showcasing the rapper taking part in the Celebrity Shoot Out event, which took place in the afternoon on Tuesday (Dec. 16). In the brief video, Rule tells the people around him, “I got to ignore y’all right now. I got to put this thing up.”

Seconds later, Rule didn’t put anything up. Instead, when he struck the golf ball with his club, the ball shanked, flying near (or in — the angle of the video doesn’t make it clear where the ball landed) a group of people as the crowd reacts in shock.

Rule’s mouth opened into a wide O, and he seemed embarrassed by his horrible shot. He raised his hand as if that would stop the ball, but he ultimately didn’t apologize in the clip. Perhaps the embarrassment was as painful as the feeling of the ball slapping into someone’s skin.

Check out Rule’s terrible hit below, as caught by Golf Week senior writer Adam Schupak — the same man to whom Ja proclaimed himself "the best hip-hop golfer" the day prior.

In other recent Rule news, the rapper couldn’t resist making fun of his longtime rival 50 Cent after seeing him in the trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Rule reacted to a screen of 50 Cent playing the character Balrog in the teaser trailer, writing on X, "This 🥷🏾 look crazy… 🤣 #NoFiddy #bullfrog 😭.”

This isn’t Rule’s only recent jab at Fif. Days before that, Rule brought up 50 Cent’s domestic violence allegations on X, writing, “If you support Curtis you support DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.”
