The results are in. With the release of Mixtape Pluto, Future has scored his 11th #1 studio album.
The rapper’s latest project sold 129,000 units in its first week, giving him another #1 album that continues to show that he’s one of rap’s most in-demand artists.
If the success of Mixtape Pluto isn’t enough to convince you, think about this — he’s already had two other No. 1 debuts in 2024 (We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You with Metro Boomin). With the success of this album, he’s become the first artist to get a trio of Billboard 200 chart-toppers in less than six months, per Billboard.
His streak of No. 1 albums stretches back to 2015 with DS2, and he's topped the charts almost every year since, with the exceptions of 2018, 2021, and 2023.
Mixtape Pluto is Future’s first solo full-length album since I Never Liked You in 2022. The project, which also earned him a Grammy nomination, sold 222,000 units in its first week and has since been certified platinum.
Future’s latest album has zero features. Before it dropped, he teased a high-profile collaboration with Travis Scott on the song “South Of France,” but the feature never appeared on the album's final release.
Hopefully Future has time to celebrate the success of the album before he hops into doing anything else. The rapper just wrapped up the We Trust You tour with Metro Boomin earlier this month.
